Van Dijk previewed the coming group stage and talk about what he believed his role is as captain.

“We had a completely different energy after half-time and we got what we deserved. We came back with determination and the fans’ cheers helped us to win in the end.”
The win moved Liverpool ahead of Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table with 25 points from 10 games.
